Norwegian Reports 2017 Full Year Results Influenced by Global Expansion, Fleet Renewal and Extraordinary Costs
Norwegian today reported its full year and fourth quarter 2017 results. The net loss was –299 million NOK in 2017, while the earnings before interest, taxes and depreciations (EBITDA) was 60 million NOK.
Norwegian Reports 11 Percent Passenger Growth in November
Norwegian carried 2.5 million passengers in November, an increase of 11 percent compared to the same month in the previous year. Norwegian’s long-haul routes had a 52 percent passenger growth. The overall load factor was 83.7 percent.
Norwegian Reports a Pre-Tax Result of 861 million NOK and High Load Factor
Norwegian reported its second quarter results for 2017. The pre-tax result (EBT) was 861 million NOK. This is slightly down from last year’s result, mainly due to higher oil prices and the air passenger tax implemented by the government in Norway last year. Norwegian carried almost 2.9 million passengers in August, an increase of 12 percent compared to the same month previous year. The load factor was unchanged at 90 percent. The load factor on the company’s intercontinental operation was 96 percent.
Norwegian reports underlying result improvement and high load factor in the first quarter
Norwegian today reported its first quarter results for 2016 with an underlying improvement of more than 400 MNOK ($49m), compared to the same quarter previous year. The company’s intercontinental and Nordic routes had a positive impact on the results. The load factor was record high at 85 percent, in a quarter that is traditionally considered low season.
