Amadeus, a company that provides technology that keeps the travel sector moving, has incorporated a unique approach to support social responsibility. The company is launching ‘Click for Change’, a campaign-in-a-box to help travel providers reach more travelers to support the wide range of projects around the world run by UNICEF, the world’s leading children’s rights and emergency relief organization.
It’s no secret that travel has the ability to transform lives – the lives of the travelers and the lives of those who live in the communities visited. This is one of the main reasons that Norwegian has had a strategic Signature Partnership with UNICEF since 2007.
In July 2015, Norwegian partnered with Amadeus to increase its donation efforts through the use of the Amadeus Donation Engine, a multi-language, multi-currency online tool that is provided, hosted, and maintained by Amadeus at no cost. With this tool, Norwegian’s passengers are able to contribute funds to UNICEF’s work for children all over the world when purchasing their flights online at norwegian.com. In fact, Iberia and Finnair have also adopted the donation engine, and to date, travelers have donated more than $1.1 million UNICEF’s work to shape a better future for underprivileged children.
But there is still so much more the travel industry can do. Tomas López Fernebrand, SVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Amadeus IT Group, explains why Click for Change is so important and how it fits into their overall strategy.
Every trip can help shape a better future for children around the world. We invite you all to Click for Change! Visit the Click for Change website to find out more.
